Before the concert recording, we discuss the setlist, whether anyone is preparing for any extra production, whether a guest musician will arrive, whether someone will be greeted on stage on the occasion of their birthday, whether Erika Eleniak will jump out of a huge cake, etc. On the other hand, we can identify with most genres of music, so writing the script for a music video is much smoother.
As a musician, it is much easier to work together on ideas and the artistic concept, so more emphasis can be placed on the visual interpretation of the message that the band considers important. Bands often come with complete ideas or half-finished plans, which we fine-tune through joint brainstorming, but it’s no problem if the band doesn’t have a specific script, we listen to the music several times, analyze the lyrics and write a bunch of ideas that we try to string together into one or even several stories. This gives free space to artistic ideas, the band can further think about the preconceptions, so that the perfect video clip can finally be born.
